Deena originally from Santa Rosa, California grew up a competitive gymnast. In high school she competed in gymnastics, dance, diving, soccer and track. She began teaching tumbling while attending college (San Diego State University) at a local recreation center and trained and judged for local high school gymnastic competitions. “Gymnastics has always been a part of my life.” She moved to Ramona 19 years ago with her husband and three children. “My children grew up playing most of their sports in Ramona.” She has taught tumbling locally for nearly 12 years in the SDCE ages 4-12 years old starting when her daughter was old enough to tumble. “I love the sport of gymnastics because it builds confidence, core strength, flexibility and balance which I believe are the essentials needed for every sport.” She is looking forward to this opportunity to Coach your gymnast at Neighborhood CrossFit!
Currently, she works and coaches Girls Varsity Soccer and Diving at Ramona High School.
